Co-operatives Fortnight 22nd June- 6th July 2013
Here at Unicorn, we’re very proud to be part of the worldwide co-operative movement, and especially proud to be a workers co-op. Here’s what we're doing to celebrate Co-ops Fortnight this year.
Throughout the fortnight, look out for a display by the tills about the origins of the Co-operative movement here in Lancashire and information about some of our local co-operative suppliers.
We’ll be highlighting products sourced from co-operatives around the world including local veg, South American and African coffees, Italian pasta and Canadian maple syrup all from dedicated cooperative producers.
On Sat 29 and Sun 30 June we'll be taking part in the Chorlton Coffee Festival with our own co-operative twist - with the Ashton- based social enterprise Oromo bringing their Ethiopian Harar coffee to sample in the shop, and the launch of a brand new coffee range from the Revolver co-operative, including a Cuban coffee.
We are running a competition to find 10 of the Co-ops Fortnight 'Local Loved Trusted' purple heart logos hidden on various pages of our website, with the chance to win a Unicorn bag full of co-operatively produced goodies if you find them all!
Fill in the following form and either drop it into the shop or email it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
