Do-It (Dutch Organic, International Trade)

Do itDo-It are one of Unicorns key suppliers of bulk, commodity goods (the products that we pack down in store). We get a wide array of products from them including grains, pulses, beans, flours, dried fruits and nuts.

As an international company they have developed links with producers around the world, they believe they can contribute towards a sustainable world through organic farming and trading in organic commodities. Their focus is not only on sourcing high quality organic ingredients, but on improving producer communities, developing local economies and creating a sustainable world for future generations.

Although their products are not always certified fair trade their  intent is the same; to source ethical and sustainable products.

In Brazil for example, their afiliates, Biorganica offer technical assistance to soy bean farmers as well as pre-financing seeds for production. In 2007 they joined HUAEN in China and started to work with Ecosocial certification, this ensures economic, social and environmental standards. Since working with producers in China, they’ve helped to build schools and roads, as well as improving working conditions. The guarantee for 100% well certified organic produce is the principal goal together with the well fare of the farmers and their families.
